This year, we’re thrilled to welcome an incredible new voice to the Hella Friends family—our official 2025 co-host, Kayla Koum!

Kayla isn’t just a woman with the gift of gab—she’s a powerhouse of wisdom, resilience, and realness. As a newlywed and proud mom of one, she brings a fresh, younger perspective to the table, But her journey doesn’t stop there. Kayla is also a survivor of domestic violence and has navigated life as a single mother, giving her a unique and deeply personal understanding of the challenges and triumphs that so many women face.

She’s found her voice, and now she’s here to share it with the world. Get ready for honest conversations, deep insights, and, of course, plenty of laughs as Kayla steps up to the mic with Brandy. Together, they’ll amplify what Hella Friends is all about—truth, growth, and women’s empowerment.

So let’s give a warm welcome to Kayla—because this year, the conversations are going deeper, the connections are getting stronger, and we’re just getting started!

As a self-published author, podcast host, and mother, Krissi possesses diverse skills and interests that allow her to bring creativity and inspiration to various aspects of her life. 

Being a mother of two beautiful girls and a blue-nosed Pitbull has been the most fulfilling role of her life. It has taught her patience, resilience, and the importance of unconditional love. Being a parent has allowed her to experience joy, laughter, and heart-wrenching moments, which have shaped her perspective and fueled her creativity. 

As a podcast host, Krissi strives to create engaging, informative conversations that resonate with our listeners. She believes podcasting offers a unique and intimate way to connect with others.

In addition to being a podcast host, writing has recently become her passion. She is a self-published author with the release of her fiction novel, "Finding Home." Her writing journey began with an idea, and she has since honed her skills and created a captivating, engaging, and relatable fictional storyline.

As of January 2025, Krissi made the difficult decision to step back from the podcast to focus on some important changes in her life. She understands she cannot give her full attention right now and feels it wouldn't be fair to our audience. We truly appreciate all she has contributed and wish her the best in this new chapter. We’re here for her and will be ready to welcome her back with open arms whenever she’s ready!
